Karen's Diaper Cover

Here is my pattern for the diaper cover. If you make this, please let me know if you find any mistakes.

Karen's Diaper Cover

Baby Yarn
G Hook

Chain 11
Row 1: Dc in third chain from hook, dc in each remaining 9 chains, ch 3 and turn.
Row 2: Dc in base of chain 3, dc across and 2 dc in top of last chain. (12 dc's counting your chain 3's)
Chain 3 and turn.
Row3: Dc in base of chain 3 and dc across ending with 2 dc in your chain 3. ( count will be 14) Chain 3 and turn.
Row 4-11: Repeat row 3, increasing 1 on each end. End off at end of row 11. There should be 30 dc across counting ch 3.

Now turn you work so your starting chain is the top.
St into first chain. Chain 3, dc in each chain across with 2 dc in last chain. 10 dc counting your chain 3.
Chain 3 and turn.
Repeat Row 3, increasing 1 on each end till you have 11 rows. Like the other end, there should be 30 dc across counting ch 3.
Sc all around the edges, join and finish off.

NOTE: You can also make 2 pieces and sew together at the crotch
.
Ties: Change 32. Make 4 ties. Sew ties on the 4 ends.

Ruffles: On the back side, 3rd row from the top, between the 6th & 7th dc from the right side, slip stitch to join at the base and chain 3, sc on the other side of the 7th dc, chain 3. Sc between the 7th & 8th dc, chain 3, repeat across leaving the last 6 dc's unworked. ( You are simply picking up stitches and doing ch 3, sc, ch 3 to make the ruffle.)
Work 2 more rows of ruffles directly below the first row.

Newborn Pinafore, Diaper Cover & Booties

I finished crocheting this 3 piece set tonight. The color is peach. I think the pinafore turned out a little large for a newborn. The pattern called for a H hook. I will try a G hook on the next one. The pattern can be found on Bev's Country Cottage web site. I made up the diaper cover as I went. When I make another one, I will write the pattern down.

Crocheting Dish Cloths

I have been having fun crocheting dish cloths here lately. Here are two of my latest. One is a sunflower dish cloth and the other is a dress dish cloth which when finished I found it fits nicely over a 16 oz dish soap bottle. I will put it in my kitchen window to dress up my kitchen.

Magic Ball Scrap Round Ripple Afghan

After months of working on and off this scrap afghan I finally finished it tonight. It measures 50 inches across and now resides on the back of my recliner. Of course, anytime I lay something out to take a picture, my cat Angel has to be there to get in the picture too.
